POLICIES

CONTAGIOUS ILLNESS

Per the Hippocratic Oath, this Massage Therapist is operating with her health and the health of her client community in mind. She is updated on her vaccinations and committed to using an air filtration system, sanitation materials, and face coverings throughout the duration of every session. Clients are invited but not required to wear a face covering while in session, and expected to disclose ahead of their appointment whether they are experiencing symptoms of, presumed or confirmed to be positive for any contagious illness which may compromise the health and safety of our communities. Clients also understand that their sessions will be rescheduled or cancelled immediately upon finding that illness is possible.

These policies are subject to change upon recommendation from professional organizations and local and national health departments.

PAYMENT

Payment is accepted by cash, check or card, including accommodation for HSA and FSH. Tips are welcomed but not required.

Payment in full is expected at time of service.

The treatment rate is subject to change. Clients will receive notice before changes take place.

SCHEDULING

24 hours’ notice is required for cancelled appointments. At the discretion of the therapist, same day cancellations are subject to payment in full before another session may be booked. Lateness will be managed with grace and accommodated as the day’s schedule allows.

The therapist is committed to reciprocating respect for the client’s time and giving 24 hours’ notice before cancelling appointments, with exception for emergencies or sudden illness.

EDUCATION

If a client has any questions about their session or Massage Therapy in general, the therapist will freely and gladly answer to the best of her ability within the time constraints of the scheduled appointment. Referrals may be used in the instance that the therapist does not have the answers sought.

HEALTHCARE

This Massage Therapist does not diagnose disease, illness, or prescribe any treatment or drugs, offer counseling outside of their scope of practice, nor provide spinal or joint manipulation.

Because Massage Therapy should not be performed under certain medical circumstances, clients are expected to disclose all known physical conditions, answer all related questions honestly and keep the therapist updated to any changes in their medical profile. Clients accept all responsibility for loss or injury related to nondisclosure.

COMMUNICATION & SAFETY

Clients are encouraged and expected to immediately inform the therapist if they feel any pain or discomfort during their session so techniques may be adjusted to an optimal comfort level. If the discomfort cannot be solved, the client may ask the therapist to end the session and it will end immediately. Clients accept all responsibility for loss or injury related to nondisclosure.

Proper draping will be used at all times. Massage Therapy is not sex work, and the therapist may end a session and a therapeutic relationship at her discretion following any client expression of attitude, language, or behavior which suggests otherwise.
